While the patch doesn’t translate everything in the game you can play the entire main story in English. Well you don’t have to wish any longer, the fan translation which was being worked on five years ago is now finally out in the wild. Sadly the project ceased production in 2015 leaving fans longing for a translation ever since. There was some hope when a fan translation project which was announced back in 2014. Since the game was released before Yakuza became a more popular series in the West with the release of Yakuza 0 it became one of the many spin-offs we never got to play an English version of. The game did well enough to warrant a sequel which also released only in Japan for the PSP in 2012. The game which takes place in Kamurocho and features a younger main character named Tatsuya Ukyo who is being chased by the Tojo clan after killing a Tojo Captain. Yakuza: Black Panther is a PSP spin-off of the Yakuza series which released in Japan in 2010. It look’s like the New Year is starting off with a bang for Yakuza fans.
